Before: No chair rail and beadboard not painted.
After: Chair rail installed and I painted it with the beadboard.
Before: I didn't paint a straight line to the ceiling because we were going to put up mouldings. But it's taking a long time to get that point and we're no where near doing that. So I threw up painting tape around the kitchen and made as best attempt as I could to make it look "normal" (the wall where it meets the ceiling is not in the best of shape. Unless you are staring at it though, you can't really tell).
After: A straight line of paint!
After Again: I did paint that beadboard too - it just gives the kitchen a more finished look. Next Step: Putting the cabinet mouldings up. Nothing fancy. Just wood that matches the cabinets that have to be cut to fit. We might see how much it would cost someone else to do it. It might be worth it to just have someone else do this since James doesn't feel very comfortable with this task.
