We bought a house. It needs some updates. Just new electrical service, a new kitchen, an updated bathroom, new paint, some new appliances, front porch repairs, minor roof work, and a couple other things here and there. We're attempting to do most of the work by ourselves. Hopefully, we won't kill ourselves (or each other!) in the process. I'm documenting it mostly for my own benefit - it's fun to look back and see what we've accomplished.
Blah, Blah, Blah...
We bought our home in January 2008. It was built in 1921. It's older than all of our grandparents, but it's still standing. We've knocked down a wall, updated the electrical service ourselves, ripped down tons of wallpaper, removed carpet, updated the kitchen and a half bath ourselves, got a new porch put on and painted every inch of the place. The work always continues so I document it. For no other reason than it's fun to look back and see what we've accomplished.

WOW! Giving me insentive to do Dylan's room (it currently is pretty boring - half office, half his furniture. Didn't even paint it again for him. Poor guy.
