We Have A.D.D.

Today, I let James "relax" with the kids while I did a couple things around the house. I finished pulling up all the carpeting on the stairs and upstairs hallway. The floors are pretty decent. Obviously they all need sanding and refinishing (a project that I'm not looking forward to!) but all in all, pretty nice.

A couple days ago, I planted grape tomatoes, regular tomatoes, green peppers, orange peppers & cucumbers. Hopefully they will grow and we will live off the land! I'm also going to grow some pumpkins. I just have to till some more land (I kind of sound like Pa Ingals from Little House on the Prairie). Pictures to come!

I've also started scraping paint off the front porch. I really want to paint it to spruce it up a bit. Unfortunately, I have to scrape off the old, peeling paint that is currently on it. It's actually a very relaxing activity. It doesn't have to be perfect because once I win the lottery, I'm just going to pay someone to rebuild it. Again, pictures to come!

While scraping today and thinking of everything from potty training to wishing I was a TV superstar, I realized that James and I both have Adult onset A.D.D. We cannot finish one project if we try. It's impossible. We'll get 65% of the way done with something and something comes over us, and we cannot finish the project - we must start a new one! I'm much worse than this than James is. I'm glad I don't pay a Psychologist for this information - all I need is a 3" paint scraper and about an hour to work and think of these things. Maybe next week, I'll realize that I have OCD or am Bi-Polar.
